My first reaction after found out what Teliad is about was 'Oh no... not another text link ad marketplace.

When writing ad copy (headline and the product description) for the product that you want to auction in eBay, you need to look at it from the point of view of buyers. The potential buyers who are searching for a particular product will key in the relevant keyword to find it.

If you eBay ad contains the words like 'Wow!’, ‘Yeah!’ Or "Look at this!", “Try and check this out”, it probably will cause you lost customers.

Blogger.com has got out of beta last year. The new platform of Blogger.com provides more features to users in optimizing their Blogspot blog without having to know much about HTML code.

After finished reading the email, I really feeling worry and confuse. How come I can against so many policies since I have read their policies and add the Adsense ads carefully? This made me headache a while.

I browsed my own pages to find out what really went wrong. I thought back what types of content pages I have created. Fortunately, I managed to figure out and conclude that the violation of AdSense policies is due to some of my content pages formatted to be look similar to AdSense ads.

Once I found out this, I immediately started checking all my pages. I clicked on my own archive pages to review each post and make changes to the posts that disallowed by Google. There are total of 772 posts I have to review and it took about ten hours to review all the blog pages and modify the problem pages. My head is spinning doing all these works.

After three days, I saw my AdSense ads still appear on my pages. So, Google has probably satisfied with the changes I have made and let me continue to make money with AdSense.

Why I'm telling you this?

I hope that you didn't make the same mistake just like I did when implementing AdSense ads on your site and blog to make money online. It is painful to make changes especially if your site have hundreds of pages. It is a tedious work to check back each of your pages.

So, don't format your neighboring content look like AdSense. Google actually spend the time to check AdSense publisher accounts. I think they are checking each publisher account, just don't know whether they are doing the checking manually or automatically.

Early I told you that I was warned by Google AdSense Team that some of my blog posts have been formatted to look like AdSense ads and Google gave me three days to fix that or I'll will not be able to display AdSense ads forever in this blog.

I made the changes and after three days nothing happen, so I must have past that.

But, yesterday, just after 5 minute I published a new post, all my AdSense ads gone. I think the Google AdSense team automatically detected the new post was against their policies, so immediately remove my AdSense ads from this blog. But I swear the post isn't against any of their policies. I then deleted the post to see whether the ads will come back. No, still blank in the space after hours of waiting. I think this simply means I can no longer show AdSense ads on this blog.

AdSense has been a great source of revenue for this blog and I have lost it. I started to thinking to retire this blog. Stop working on it and let the blog falls from No. 1 ranking for the keyword 'make money online'.

Yesterday night doesn't sleep well. Thinking about how to make this blog to generate income in the future as I still get a lot of search engine traffic from this blog. And today morning I finally decided to make some major chances to this blog.

Firstly, I will chance the template of moneymakerinfo.blogspot.com. I have picked a professional template, it is three column and looks better than this one. I will change the template in these coming two days. Then I will focus on private ads selling, leads selling and signing up one to two pay per click programs such Kontera, and etc. May be also selling text links or paid reviews. But, all these new income sources I added in to http://moneymakerinfo.blogspot.com wouldn't be able to replace the income that I used to earn from one Google AdSense program.

The template change process isn't easy as I thought. I thought I just have to download a new template, upload it to Bloggers and make some minor modifications to the template. But, there are a lot more steps I have to take when really doing it. There are a number banner ads that already pre-set on this new template. I have to search the banner code inside the template to delete them. Then, the template code is in XHTML format. It wouldn't work on all kinds of HTML code you add in. I need to keep searching on Google for help about how to add html code to the XHTML template.

A lot of trial and error I have to go through. Even making a little chance to the sidebar took me an hour.

Now, the new template is all up and running. So, for next one or two days, I will continue to write and post articles, tips and latest online money making methods on this. Every website and blog are different in term of content, design and structure. However, when it comes to optimizing Google AdSense ads, most of the web publishers and bloggers apply the similar techniques. They have learned and realized that the best location for displaying AdSense ads on their site or blog is probably within the content area. So, they went ahead and placed their AdSense ad units into their content area.

But the result is, no everyone enjoy high click through rate with the similar AdSense optimization technique. Those who have got nice click through rates and made a good AdSense income, congratulation to you! But, for those publishers who still get a poor AdSense performance after implementing the same technique, what is the reason?

Below are a few of the possible reasons why your AdSense site or blog doesn't performance as you expected.

You don't actually get real targeted traffic
When you have generated a lot of traffic to your site but still make tiny little money from AdSense, you will need to look into your traffic. Review your traffic stat to find out where most of your traffic come from. Other traffic sources like social bookmarking, forum posting and blog commenting can also give you consistent amount of traffic but the problem is these sources often don't send your real targeted traffic. Most of these traffic may be just are those competitors or the friendly web publishers of your niche. The competitors want to know what you are up to and the friendly web publishers want to see the design of your site, your content or make friend with you. These types of visitors seldom convert into AdSense revenue. So, you might need to change your web promotion plan if you face these situations.

However, if you are one of the leading experts in a particular niche, then social bookmarking and forum traffic may be excellent to you. Those web publishers of your niche who directed from social media sites and forums to your site will choose to listen to you than turning themselves to be your competitors because your voice has strong influence in the niche. But, in this case, AdSense still doesn’t work. The best way to make money is to offer them your quality product or service.

Your web design or blog template doesn't suit for AdSense
From my two years experience in AdSense, I found that the design of your website or blog has a lot to do with your AdSense performance. A poor designed website will of course make your AdSense performance bad, but, even with a advanced high tech website, AdSense probably still wouldn't work on it because it look too good, making the visitors don't want to leave the site.

Let's start with the layout of your website, both two column and three column layouts can be used for AdSense. But for good performance, if you are using two columns, the sidebar should be on the left and the content section on the right. If you are using three column, the traditional three column are still the best which is both the left and and right columns are a sidebar and the middle column between the left and right is for content.

Your site must have a header with a compelling logo included if possible. The look and feel of your site need to be professional, clean and neat. Adding some beautiful images and photos can make thing even better, but too many can draw your visitors’ attention away from your Adsense ads. For the navigation section the sidebar of your site, I would suggest you not using buttons; instead you should use simple text links for your navigation area. Make the color of your navigation links match your website.

Your site is displaying low content relevant Google ads frequently
This is one of the possible reasons as the AdSense ads that attract your visitors are those ads that are highly relevant to your content. One easiest way to get a quick understanding on the ad relevancy of your content pages is by visiting your site yourself. Browse every web page to see what ads show up in your AdSense units. If you still quite a number of low relevant ads show up, this might be one of the reasons pulling your AdSense revenue down.

You can then record down the urls of all the low relevant ads and use the Google AdSense Filter tool to stop these ads appear on your content pages.

Another way to find these low relevant ads is by using an AdSense preview tool. What the tool can do for you is it can give a list of AdSense ads that will potentially appear on each single web page. All you need to do is entering the main keyword or urls of each of your pages into the tool. From the AdSense ads list you generated, you may find some low relevant ads that you can filter out.

Other possible reasons for poor AdSense performance

You opted for image ads when generate AdSense ad code - Part of the time, image ads will show up on your content pages. This isn't help actually. Firstly image ads are proven to be low click-through rate and secondly Google seems like has far lesser image ad inventory compared with text ad inventory, so you might be getting irrelevant images showing up on your pages.

You don't place enough AdSense ad units in your content pages - A lot of web publishers put only one AdSense ad unit with their article content. But, from what I learned from the experts, we can actually have two AdSense ad units placed within an article. The first unit place on the top left of the article body content just below the article title but align with the first sentence of the body content. And another AdSense unit display on just below the end of the content. And then you may also make use of Adsense link ads. Place one AdSense link ad unit on the navigation section of each of your web pages, match it well with your navigation links and you will earn extra revenue from the AdSense link ads.

Low traffic - This one you may have known it when you find you AdSense revenue little.

As I have mentioned in the part 1 of this article, your existing clients are like a goldmine to you. Treat them well and they will continue to use your freelance service whenever they need it. 3 tips have been posted in part 1 for turning your existing clients into long-term clients so that you can earn residual income from them. Never promise what you can't do. When your clients contact you informing you that they have got another job for you. It is nice to hear that. But, sometimes they might ask you do something that is too hard for you or something that you don't know how to do. In this situation, it is better to tell them honestly instead of taking the job and later hire someone to do it for you because this might negatively affect your service quality and your ability to meet deadline.

Keep your clients informed on the latest progress of your project. Some clients may worry about how the project is doing or whether it can be done by deadline. So, it is necessary to keep them updated about the project.

Try to establish an open communication. Building good relationship between you and your clients heavily relies on communication. When you clients first meet you or contact your through email or phone, there is where you begin to communicate with your clients. Be opened and professional in the conversation; listen to them well and answer their questions accurately and accordingly. If the client prefers to communicate through email, be sure that you are able to write good and professional email message with sufficient details included.

This strong open and professional communication not just needed in the first conversation or communication with your clients, but it must be maintained constantly in order to build up good relationship with your clients.

Back up your works. After you completed the project and deliver it to your clients. They will review it and sometimes they may request a revision to the project. As you have done back up, you will have a copy of the previous finished project available immediately to you to do revision. At the end, you can send the revised project to your client efficiently.

Anticipate the need of your customers. This will help you taking care of any difficulty and problem arise during the completion of the project.

Make sure both you and your clients are clear about all the aspects of the project. You as a service provider need to read carefully the project details and instructions so that you understand thoroughly what need to be done. For your clients, make sure they know clearly how long the project will take you and what your charge will be.

Occasionally run a promotional or discount campaign can be a great idea. This may help you get more sales from your existing clients. And for those previous clients who have not used your service for long time, probably they have forgotten you. With a promotional email sends to them, you can remind them that they have used your freelance service before and encourage them to do business with you again.
